That’s a 3-phase socket providing higher voltage, but it’s also perfectly fine to only use 1 phase like your example does here.

That is a “Typ 15” socket. You can use it for normal 240 volt plugs as seen in your picture, but also for two or three-phase 400v appliances with a corresponding plug.

Two phases are those two slits, the rest is PE, neutral and the third phase.
If you have an appliance that needs 3 phases and has a corresponding plug, this is where you’d plug it in. But since the washing machine has a regular plug you could theoretically run it on every other outlet aswell.

This is a swiss standard 3 phase socket (T15) used for high power appliances.
As you can see it is compatible with the T12 plug so nothing wrong there.
It is a T15 because the center screw on the T15 is almost at the same height as L1 and N, on the T25 it is an offset at least of 2mm nearer to the notch at the top, see Feller drawings.
Factually, it could be a T15 **or** a T25, depends on the round or square L1/N/PE holes.

The L2/L3 are square on both T15 and T25.
