There is no fixed power rating. The number on the thermostat is the target temperature it tries to reach, by adjusting the water flow through it.
Number 4 is “24C” – in theory anyway, if it really heats the room up to 24C depends on a lot of other factors. How much heat goes through it on even more, like the outside temperature and insulation of the building.
And how much that costs you depends on even more factors, even your neighbours heating in the same period. Pretty much impossible to say how much that is at the end.
Are you sure its electic and not gas or oil powerd ? If its really electric it will probably be pretty expansive depending on how old or new the heater is. But i dont think there is a way to actually tell how much it used without knowing how high your usage was before so you could subtract that from the number shown now but im not an expert on that. I really hope it is gas or oil or a pretty new electric heater and not an old one.
(Sorry if i used wrong word and made it sound weird becaus of that my english isnt so good and seeing you wrote english i wanted to make it as understandable as possible and didnt want to write german caus of that.)
Its oil/gas powered not electricity. It won’t cost the world, I have mine in the bathroom on 4 the whole year.
From the size of that heater, will probably cost you 2€!
Jokes aside, you’re not necessarily “screwed”, but you definitely increased your bill a bit without having any use from it. 4 is quiet high.
What room was it? A lot of tiles? Open doors/windows?

It won’t make a noticeable difference unless you left the window open at the same time.
Not a fun thing to realize but it shouldn’t make a significant dent in your average monthly usage and you Nebenkosten probably won’t increase that much from it
The counter doesn’t count kilowatts, and your Heizkostenabrechnung doesn’t care about Kilowatts too.
That counter only gives a unit-less information about the heat dissipated by that particular heater, just like all the counters in the house (i.e. all parties joint in the heating calculation on the same central heating). It’s the relative counts towards all these counters that influence your bill, but only partially. Your apartment size and other data is taken into the calculation. E.g., you will also pay, if you don’t heat at all, because your neighbors will heat your rooms indirectly too.
So, don’t panic. Also, don’t turn your heater down to zero if you’re on extended leave, you may cause expensive humidity and mold damage.
Was the temperature outside cold the last 2 week? The central heating may not have been active. I think ours kicks in when outside is 15-17 degrees Celsius or something. Sorry can’t help you read the dial. Just cancel it out by leaving it off for 2 weeks in winter 🥶
Number 4 = 24°. The cost depends on the type of energy source.
