For some reason the auto-generated title by Reddit doesn’t match the actual title of the article. I didn’t want to change the auto-generated one and have it removed for editorialising.
For completeness, it appears the current title of the article is “Three men to face trial over Brighton beach rape”. Perhaps it was changed and Reddit still picks up the original one?

Crazy to see this stuff happening where you grew up, like the scouring of the Shire.

At this point we need to have clear stats on the rate at which asylum seekers commit serious sexual crimes. Until the government releases those stats, I am going to assume that they commit them at a much higher rate than the general male population. If they do not commit crimes at a higher rate the government should have no issue releasing the stats.

> Iranian national Abdulla Ahmadi, 25, of Crewe, Cheshire, along with Egyptian nationals Karin Al-Danasurt, 20, and Ibrahim Alshafe, 25 – both of Horsham, West Sussex – are each charged with two counts of rape.
If Abdulla Ahmadi is an Iranian asylum seeker raping girls in Brighton, can we really describe him as “of Crewe”?

Always interesting how these stories get heavily downvoted, this was sitting on 60% when I first opened it.
I get it, people don’t like seeing these stories, but surely we should be outraged by them and find a solution to stop it, that way we won’t have to see stories like it every day rather than just trying to ignore it and hoping it goes away.

My cousin lives there, she’s started a single womens group so they can go out to bars and stuff safely together, so they always have backup to call on, because basically, they are all a bit scared of the current events. Such a shame we are regressing as a society

Surely any sort of crime should immediately invalidate your asylum claim and you get insta-deported.
These should be the terms of asylum. We’ll offer you protection from persecution. Just don’t commit crimes against us or the state that has shown you compassion.
