So che questa truffa è stata vista parecchie volte negli ultimi due anni, ma stavo vendendo qualcosa sul mercato FB e qualcuno ha tentato di utilizzare la falsa app bancaria su di me.
Non mi ero reso conto, però, che il pagamento falso in qualche modo risulta in entrata sulla tua app bancaria, il che potrebbe scoraggiare alcune persone perché la persona in questione ha cercato di affermare che il denaro era stato inviato, quindi ero "ordinato". Ho chiamato l’assistenza Revolut mentre accadeva tutto questo e mi hanno detto che il pagamento era in arrivo, il che era molto preoccupante.
Ho allegato le foto nel caso in cui ciò accada di nuovo a qualcun altro. Per riferimento, le cose a cui prestare attenzione che erano un indizio morto:
– Ho chiesto espressamente che il denaro venisse inviato tramite Revolut (pagamento istantaneo). Ovviamente quando mi è stata mostrata l’app è stata la prima grande bandiera rossa.
– L’app che usano, guarda la dicitura, ad esempio iban invece di IBAN o le transazioni di mcdonalds ecc.
– Chiedere alla persona di chiamare EBS (o qualunque banca utilizzi l’app) e annullare il trasferimento evitandolo completamente.

Another red flag is that EBS doesn’t have a banking app at all.
The biggest shock here is you were able to ring Revolut support.
I don’t understand how the fake payment could be showing up on your banking app. Can you explain what you mean?
Also, SEPA instant transfers are rolled out now so you should receive the money in your account instantly.
Another thing to watch for is the placement of the euro symbol, it should be before the value not after
Also, in this day and age I’d be wildly suspicious of anyone that doesn’t have any sort of transactions on their account in a week. That’s McDonald’s transaction date was a week earlier
