And this is an example of why the Assisted Dying Bill is so dangerous in its current form.

As a society we never escaped the spectre of eugenics.

Eugenics under our noses. Disabled people, and I am one of them, need our voices.
I still find it insane – absolutely abhorrent – that downs babies can be aborted all the way up until birth (in the UK). Oops sorry I dared open up another conversation that’s also about eugenics.
I can only hope this is getting downvoted because it’s off topic not because people really take an issue that downs babies don’t have human rights of average babies…

When your society has legalized abortion, favours euthanasia and government health care, this is the result

It really depends on the reason why the dnr has been put in place, if the person has terminal cancer and has a disability so advanced they dont understand what a dnr is , would it not be appropriate for the dnr to be in place? I can’t think of anything worse than bringing some one back to being in pain. Also what is most people’s understanding of a dnar? It doesn’t mean any treatment isn’t given, it just means cpr will not be given if the patient stops brrathing all other treatment will be given unless some other sort of advanceddirectiveis in place. Also with any person who has any learning disability they have family who will.be involved or an advocate who’s sole responsibility is to make sure all decisions are been made in the patients best interests

Margaret Sanger is smiling from Hell over this one. Anyone who supports Planned Parenthood is guilty here too.
