It is an American company can they even ask this in first place?
It is a company who is active on the European market. The USA did similar things to Chinese companies.

Why doesn’t eu have its own google? Stop being a customer only and invest in your own infrastructure, talent and then you have the profit and influence
Given how dependent European companies and people are on Google, doing anything drastic against them will only hurt us.

We need Google because?
American techbros say copying their technology is hard but I call that bullsh*t. It is a search engine, the tech is well understood, a European alternative could be made.
The American tell us it is impossible because they are terrified of loosing their tech monopoly.
