Dopo essermi trasferito a Cipro, ho subito scoperto che le patate sono di prim’ordine. E ho scoperto anche i chip Jumbo, che sono di alta qualità e abbastanza convenienti. Penso che ci siano anche altri buoni marchi locali.
Come ha fatto Lay’s, il McDonald’s delle patatine, ad affermarsi così? Ogni secondo periptero che entrerò avrà solo questa schifezza…

Even a a mid potato is a good potato
I guess Lays (or as they were used to be called in the 90s, Corina) were around for much longer gaining a more loyal fan base.
Various reasons. The first one being that Lays used to go by a different name a couple of decades ago, amd they were the absolute best you could get in Cyprus.
Then you’ve got relative price, and also, different likings. There’s more options in taste with Lays.
Also, we are weird. Shark energy drink was far more popular in Cyprus than Red Bull (when I cared about such things. Don’t know the situation now)
