    Would like to see this normalised to cost of living. We’re also one of the most expensive countries in Europe so it’s reasonable to assume that our social expenditure will be higher as a result.

    When i was on Erasmus in Italy, my politics lecturer got me to explain what a means test was, because Ireland are well known as the kings of it and it barely exists over there.

    What benefit-in-kind does the Irish Governement pay out that makes up 47% of the welfare budget? Seems odd to me
