This article is the very definition of fake news. The plan is to give them a house, universal credit and pip for each of them and their future generations.
Is this something we should be announcing to the world?
And who exactly has the amphibious warfare capability to even attempt an invasion of the UK?
Hell, our nearest adversary can’t even launch an airborne invasion without fizzling out due to chronic lack of airlift capability.
Actually they we do have a plan – all those flag-shagging patriots will be on the front lines, ready to defend their home!

The title seems misleading compared to the actual content of the article.
The main concerns seem to be the UK’s ability to defend itself from certain attacks- not necessarily invasion. The former are much more likely than troops landing on the beaches, and should be taken seriously.
The continued reliance on the US seems to be a key issue, and the UK would do better to work with the rest of Europe to fix that.
I thought the plan is to just say “Fuck off or ill get my brother on you”
Of course we do, we can’t even stop a a few hundred people in a rubber dinghy.
If anyone wants to attack the UK, just follow their lead coming over from France and before we know it there’s an army with weapons already in the UK.
