      Great news, obviously, but how can this be interpreted given the simultaneous traitorous deal made between the US and russia where one of the demands is no long range weapons?

      This is incredible news BUT I would be cautious to think this means Taurus. The Germans have always been very worried about “eScAlaTiOn!” And this is why they have been slow or absent on munitions we all want to see in Ukraine. Lest we have short memories, a few months ago, Germany announced they were working with Ukraine to help them build their OWN missiles. My guess is this is basically a Taurus, built in Ukraine, by Ukrainians, with German “technical advice”. It will probably have a name like “Ukraurus” or “Slavaurus”. When Mordor starts crying and whining the Germans will just shrug their shoulders and say “well we didn’t deliver any TAURUS. What are you talking about!?”

      EDIT: Take note the title says “Provide” but no where in Merz’s message did he say that. He said they are working to “ensure Ukraine will be *equipped* with long range fire”. Equipped just means they will have it, even if home made.

      We have long range weapons? Taurus is only mid range with three 500km.

      I think he means financing and technology support for the drones and missiles that Ukraine is thought to be producing already i.e. Flamingo, FP2 and Long Neptune.
