      Not the first time someone called us that:

      Germans accuse us for victim complex. But they (especially eastern ones) have the biggest victim complex I can imagine. They’re mad to this day that we deported them because they voted in majority for NSDAP. Deportation of them after the war from Pomerania and Silesia was one of the best decisions in our history. Otherwise we would have a 5th collumn in our country.

      Aside from the fact that he’s a politician from AfF, he’s not wrong on that topic (Just a confirmation that even a broken clock shows the right time twice in a day).
      The fact that it comes from the mouth of AfD doesn’t mean it’s not true.
      We’ve been taught and molded from the earliest education about our martyrology, how we’ve been attacked, invaded, partinioed and wrong over the centuries… people tend to live by the mythical “past wrongs” instead of looking forward…

      He’s an asshole but he’s not wrong in that first sentence. Our national epic paints Poland as the Christ of Europe, which by dying and suffering will redeem all the other subjugated nations of Europe. Poland has a long history of martyrology and it’s not surprising at all given what we went through.

      He is not entirely wrong, but AfD is an even better example of same mindset, so he can shut his disgusting trap. It is becoming more and more fashionable for AfD politicians these days to cry about “injustices” done to Germans post-WW2. Extremely interesting choice of topic while already being under fire for Nazi allegations.
