Lip Service means his words are meaningless. A true pot v. kettle situation here. Well played Kaja.
We shouln’t speak of a “*peace* plan”, it is the same newspeak as with Trump’s unilateral tariff that were called “*reciprocal*”. This is a capitulation plan that not only reward Putin for his invasion, but will motivate him to continue.
Russia asking for maximum compromises because they know the West won’t fight. They’ve been doing this for decades
In principle, it is probably understandable why the Kremlin does not want to see the EU as a mediator, if the position of the mediator is such:
“The EU has a very clear two-point plan: first, weaken Russia; second, support Ukraine.”
If this is the EU’s position, then it is necessary to send EU troops to the front next to the Ukrainian troops.
