Every year on the last Saturday of November, Ukraine honors victims of the Holodomor.

The Holodomor refers to 3 artificial famines orchestrated by the Soviet regime in 1921–1923, 1932–1933, and 1946–1947. The most massive of them, during 1932–1933, was a genocide of the Ukrainian people that claimed millions of lives.

On this day, we remember those who died of hunger on their own land, preserving the truth about the crimes of the totalitarian regime.
