Tape up a paper saying “RING FOUND”.

Don’t include a picture of the ring, or you risk someone else claiming it.

“If it is yours, text a detailed description of the ring to __number__”

It must return where it was made, bring it to the fires of mount doom

Hope there is a better suggestion here than bringing to HSL lost and found. Once I lost a bag with documents, made a police report, called HSL lost and found multiple times leaving my phone number in case they find it and nothing.

A year later I found a Facebook message that didn’t get delivered to normal messages because was not on my friends list, some kind of FB message spam folder. It was from HSL lost and found trying to reach me but I never saw the message until was too late because they keep it only for few weeks.

But on my document was pretty easy to find email or phone number from a simple Google search, yet they didn’t. Not even mentioning that they should have my name and phone number with them since I called before asking if they found it.

The Finnish bus service has a lost and found department call them and ask if someone is missing a ring. Also post on facebook in a local lost and found group, pick the first one you find when google searching “lost and found” with your general area. That is the place they will look.

Ok whaaat I have that exact same ring I had to go and check I hadn’t lost it and yeah it’s not mine. Hope it finds its owner tho. Oh and it’s from h&m or something like that can’t remember anymore but point is it’s cheap so the only possible value to the owner is emotional attachment
