      Its amazing that for years people in the UK and Ireland were told that overhauling immigration policy was impractical, impossible, racist ect.

      In just 1 week we are seeing changes that should have happened a decade ago with little fanfare. Never needed so much drama attached

      The UK are fucking Draconian with their 25 years or such bollox before being allowed become a citizen. As much as I disagree with how migrants can be treated at least were not at that level.

      There is already a question on the naturalisation application about whether or not you have received social welfare payments.

      Not really sure this is the correct way to go.

      If you’re here on an appropriate visa , have a job that meets minimum salary requirements. Have private health insurance ect. I think you should be entitled to welfare supports.

      If you haven’t come here on appropriate means or channels I think you shouldn’t have access
