it will not happen unless you force with military support or coerce russia out of resource. Diplomacy doesn’t work with Russia. There is 1 winner:USA

      I disagree with 16. and 17.

There is no negotiation and all territories including Crimea must be returned to Ukraine. We can not reward aggression from dictators.

As for point 10, Trump and the US can’t be trusted. Security guarantees from Europe should be prioritized before the dementia TACO.

This is from a *statement by President von der Leyen* on Peace Diskussions for Ukraine.

Until further proof I treat this not as **the** european counterplan.

Furthermore OP has made some… creative editorial decisions when he reframed the original statement by von der Leyen into his 24 point plan.

And now we just need to somehow capture Putin to get him to sign it, does anyone have a cardboard box propped up with a stick tied to a piece of string?

Might as well add trialing Putin in Hague and draft a new constitution for Russia, if we’re going for unrealistic proposals

“14. Ukraine becomes a member of the EU” has to be a joke. Before the war we were still allowed to discuss the problems of corruption and neo nazism in Ukraine. I understand we had to sweep all that under the rug to present a united front during the war. But Ukraine isn’t ready to join the EU.

    7. The most important issue is about territory: If any Ukrainian territory becomes full member of the Russian federation, it will never be returned. But the idea that Russia will leave all the occupied Ukrainian territories is also unrealistic.

That’s why EU politicians should rather call for (temporary) splitting Ukraine in two independent countries in a similar way as Germany was split after WW2: “Western Ukraine” (i.e. the parts of Ukraine under current Ukrainian control) would be an independent country supported by the West (similar to the West Germany), “Eastern Ukraine” (currently under Russian control) would be an independent country under the Russian influence (similar to East Germany). This setting would allow for re-unification of both countries in the future in the same way Germany was unified after the fall of communism…

Remember that West Germany with the support of Western countries experienced rapid economic development after WW2 which Western Ukraine may experience too. This would compensate the loss of territories… BTW, Kingdom of Bohemia experienced similar situation after it lost coal-mine rich territories of Silesia to Prussia in 1745: Losing money from coal mines forced the rulers to look for other sources of income, and Bohemia & Moravia thus became early adopters of the industrial revolution and, paradoxially, experienced more rapid economic development than if they relied on money from natural resources.

Putin is laughin at all the plans, the only plan he supports is full destruction of ukraine , russification, conquering Republic of Moldova , then Belarus integration, rearm itself and put massive pressure on baltics, romania, and poland with political movements pro russia in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary(Orban), Slovakia, Austrria and Czech Republic , Black Sea becomes Russian lake, only Turkey and Russia share it peacefully all other small actors will suffer from reduced trade. EU gets weaker slowly but surely due to migration supported by marxists funded by god knows who, if not Russia, china, and other globalists i dont know who.

The future is grim, these papers make me giggle.

IMO russia should be forced to cede territories to ukraine, like germany was after both world wars, but more russian blood will need to be shed befor that can happen, therefor europe needs to ramp up its support for ukraine.

    10. Beyllionaire on

      Delusional.

And then we wonder why we’re not invited to the negotiations?

    11. Gamblinman97 on

They better hope Putin is drunk on Vodka to agree to this nonsense.

Peace can be achieved with only one clause. “Russian Army will withdraw behind the pre 2014 borders”. That’s it, everything can be end in minutes if anyone really wants peace.

But I’m really sick of these stupid games. All of the grown ass diplomats are flying from all around the world to attend these circuses.

Why? A man stubbornly claimed he can end this war in 24 hours. Now, he realizes he can not do anything on this matter. He does not have such power. This reality pisses him off so bad and he builds stairs from ice cubes in boiling hot summer and forces everybody to go upstairs to say “I did it”…

Putin caused over 1,000,000 Russian men’s lives, trillions of dollars of his countries money. For what? Nothing. The gain they have made since 2022 is ridiculous. There is no way for Putin to accept any deal. He must be able say “Yes, we’ve lost a lot but look what we’ve gained”.

There are only 2 ways to end this war. First, Ukraine gives something to Putin so that he could justify over 1 million men’s lives and Russia stops for now. But without making Ukraine a NATO member as part of the deal makes such a deal useless because 99.9 percent Russia will attack again.

Second, Ukraine will push Russian army out of its borders with unprecedented counter offensive and become a NATO member immediately. It’s not likely Ukraine can achieve this on its own right now.

This war probably will continue like this unless one of these countries administration’s is toppled and the new administration chooses a different path.

source? I am asking because I can’t believe that a mentally fit person would write word enjoy in the fucking war peace proposal. This shit looks like it was written by morons.

    14. mrwho995 on

Great. I was really happy to read this and then I hear OP is lying. Screw you OP.

    15. Professional-Mix1771 on

Not gonna lie, got me in the first half. The 14 point is too crazy though.

    16. Eland51298 on

So the answer to a bad “peace plan” is an unrealistic “peace plan.” Okay, Russia will definitely agree to that.

    17. Acid_Burn9 on

Sounds reasonable, but why on earth would Russia agree to this?

    18. Glory4cod on

It is not possible to work.

Ceasefire along LOC is effectively conceding lands to Russia.

And US can conveniently block Ukraine’s NATO membership.

Russia is NOT gonna paying one cent to Ukraine. The famous Slavic saying is “winner gets no trial”, no way they will pay anything.

    19. IceW0lf88 on

Just reading the first 6 point and I can tell Russia will not accept this at all, let alone everything else in there.
