Con l’ennesima “polemica israeliana”, sono sempre più confuso. Perché un paese del Medio Oriente, sopravvissuto alla Seconda Guerra Mondiale ballando e prendendo il sole a Tel Aviv, ha invece costruito la sua intera identità nazionale sulle sofferenze della Polonia e del suo popolo durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, e poi ha iniziato a odiare la Polonia per questo?

Israel didn’t survive the WW2 sunbathing because it wasn’t yet founded. At the same time most of its citizens arrived after WW2 with all the prior experiences attached, including those from Poland. I’m not defending their certain anti-Polish posts and formulations, yet this is an important clarification nonetheless.

Well it’s complicated.
There is an old polish saying that goes ” if you don’t know what’s going on, it’s about money”. Many jewish folks managed to flee from war, but they left their life here. Houses, bussisnesses and so on. When the war was over, Poland was handed over to communists and made a satellite. And we were a shit ton of rubble. I mean did u saw pics from Warsaw? That was also former jewish livelyhood.
But the owners ran away and buildings were destroyed. Poland was rebuilt. Redesigned and communists wasnt interested about old ownership rights cuz duh… It’s communism and old ownership aint sht no more. When Poland got free. Previous owners children suddenly reminded themselves that their forefathers got some stuff here and demanded to restore their ownership… Over once completely totalled buildings which got restored to preserve history and which already had new owners. So the shitshow began and anymosity still prevails. That’s my take. Oh and many poles actually hated that jews tended to monopolize some types of bussiness like medicine or goldsmithing.
So many places have a cery long history of local communities feuding with it’s jewish neighbours.

What I find interesting is that Czechs for whatever reason have this unconditional love and support for Israel, unlike Poland

Israel was invented in 1948, it didn’t exist before neither did its population live there yet.
The country was formed from the territory of the former British Mandate of Palestine.

The Industry of Holocaust. Millions have died so that billions could be earned by the chosen few 🙂
