Invece di cercare la pace, il Cremlino sta cercando di guadagnare tempo e indebolire gli alleati dell’Ucraina, dicono gli analisti. Un altro obiettivo è scaricare la colpa su Kiev accusandola di rifiutare le condizioni russe che equivalgono di fatto alla capitolazione.

Spoiler: they don’t want peace. They want land and resources.
There is just no way to end this war properly without European support. Every effort sidelining European voices is bound to fail, this has been stated very clearly time and time again. Unfortunately Russians themselves understand it very well, and that’s why they’re playing Trump so effectively.
“Why Kremlin won’t commit to Trump’s peace push” –> b’cause KRASNOV is just a clown and Putler has “the cards” against him. Easy.
If they wanted peace, they wouldn’t have attacked in the first place. Should be pretty obvious.
Pretty sure Ukraine will stop defending itself if Russia stops invading them!
Any peace must be a just peace, and that means all of UKR land returned and reparations paid. This is so simple, why is the West unable to grasp this?
I’ve maintained for some time now that Russia will not engage in any negotiatons or agree to anything before the issue of EU’s funding of Ukraine for 2026-2027 has been settled. That’s set to be decided in December 2025 – January 2026. Thus this “peace proposal” was likely not serious to start with (I’m assuming that Russia is the main architect behind the 28-point plan).
However, point 14 of the original proposal was actually a direct attack on EU’s plans to seize the frozen Russian assets. It would not surprise me if that point was the main purpose of the entire exercise, to undermine EU’s funding support for Ukraine.
trump’s peace plan was crafted by the Russians, and they are “cautious” agreeing to it. Not like Trump or the WH can say anything cuz that would admit Russia created the peace plan in the first place.
Putin’s ego won’t let this end peacefully. The Russians can’t afford for this to just end and walk away . Oh yeah they got some financial responsibility in this mess they started. A war crime tribunal will need to be established and a hammer must fall. With that said this shit ain’t ending soon Putin won’t let his ego take a hit.
