Honestly reading their story about their adopted son, Liam, sounds like he needed a psychiatrist/therapist. A teenager threatening his presumably loving family/environmental with knives? It just screams that there’s something mentally going on, either through trauma or a neurodevelopmental condition.

Someone definitely should have spotted this and said “this isn’t normal behaviour” instead of blaming the parents. Although of course we’re only getting one side of the story.
