“A fraudster who conned elderly people out of their life savings is fighting deportation because he claims he has a human right to NHS “talking therapies” and would suffer PTSD if returned to Pakistan.”
To the best of my knowledge, Pakistan doess have state funded therapy services in their major cities. In rural areas, it might be more difficult to access support, but there are provisions for online therapy.
In any case, his ‘PTSD’ is not our concern, and he needs to be deported, no ifs, no buts.

How do we vote on screwing around when on immigration probation removes you from human rights regulation. It’s got to be a thing it’s happening way to many times.
I read somewhere a french team were paying one of the guys legal fees.
My nephews ex wasn’t even in the country and got legal aid to fight her case and her father owned a company abroad.

>But, a judge sitting in the Upper Tribunal Immigration and Asylum Chamber has rejected his latest legal claim to remain in the UK
So he didn’t actually win. And (for now) he has a right to appeal that decision, but it seems quite unlikely he’ll win.
Of course if he is eventually deported the Telegraph won’t bother reporting that.

ECHR seems to include the right to family life in the UK, let’s hope not.

Give him the standard 6 sessions of therapy and send him on his way, that’s what normally happens to anyone else seeking mental health support from the NHS.

I really need liberals and progressives to understand how damaging this sort of shit is to the structures, norms and processes they want to defend.
The public is sick to the back teeth of this sort of nonsense.
I also have faith that Shabana Mahmood will come down on this like a tonne of bricks. She’s serious about fixing our broken immigration system.
