And People’s Front was right there and they swung and missed.

Glad that there isn’t an ongoing malaise / crisis in the UK, one that needs real political leadership and ideas to address.

Nah, sod that, let’s just fight among ourselves (Again…)

They couldn’t agree on a new name so are sticking with the old one. How delightfully on brand.

Of the four options, I was hoping for Our Party.

Just so we got articles saying things like “a spokesman from Our Party, formerly Your Party, said…”

    5. Gentle_Snail on

      The options were:

      >Your Party
      >
      >Our Party
      >
      >Popular Alliance
      >
      >For The Many

It’s my party and I’ll cry (laughing at this fiasco) if I want to

I really liked corbyn when he was leader of the labour party, and I liked (most of) his ideas … But the party is a mess and the name is confusing when discussing it in a typical conversation.

Most people on the left have moved towards the green party and Zack is a much better speaker and converting his ideas whether you agree with the or not.

I’ve seen more serious politics coming out a primary school mock UN than this lot.

      For god fucking sake.

This party is a trainwreck couldnt even agree on a actual new name (and no 11% of the registered party members isn’t a damn mandate ), you have one of the co-founders of it boycott the first day of its conference, the second day making a slight jab about the other co-founder while they are BOTH on stage.

They vote for a governance style which wont fucking work in a parliamentary system.

Jesus fucking christ why cant the left in the UK actually gets it act together, its beyond infuriating now, the British left the actual British left constantly fucking divides up or does most boneheaded choices where they actively seem to not want to get into power aka the collective governance idea.

The right and far right can unite over the common factor of wanting to fuck over minorities but the left in Britain specifically cant fucking do one thing without splintering or doing the most boneheaded choices, then Neo liberals and right leaning centerists end up getting in and you end up with a right wing govt again in five or so years.

If this comment seems a bit heated its because i’m damn sick of it.

Edit- All I beg and hope is Your Party stays in its quiet small corner and leaves the Green Party alone.

Sultana sounds precisely how I’d imagine someone paid by Russia to undermine our security would sound.

They have completely botched it up. All their voters will now be going to the Greens.

    12. EffectiveArgument584 on

As a leftist, I really hope they get like 3 votes in the next election just so they finally fuck off and stop embarrassing us.

    13. LANdShark31 on

Yeh but they excluded anyone who didn’t agree with them before having the vote.

    14. Major-Librarian1745 on

Not going to happen but they’d have to change it to our party for the dispatch box and when elsewise debating or speaking about anything.

Actually now I think it might be quite a confusing name.

    15. AbbreviationsHot7662 on

I see both him and Sultana started going on again about spending money on defence. It drains the fucking life out of me that these pair of morons look at the world and think ‘what we need, is to give up all our weapons’.

It’s honestly so fucking childish and unserious. Why can’t the left actually make credible economic arguments whilst appreciating the threat the country and continent faces?
