Used to enjoy their burgers 5-10 years ago, haven’t seen one of their eateries in ages..

I think it’s a case of them expanding too fast, and existing in a crowded market (pre-covid even smaller cities had a Byron, an honest burger, GBK, five guys, ye usual fast food chains, a couple of locals, and half the pubs started doing “smashburgers”).

Then Covid and rising food prices/ staff costs probably tipped them over the edge.

Never understood the appeal of Byron Burger. It’s always been the epitome of style over substance for me. Posh burgers just aren’t good.

Byron Burger made me so ill once. There was also a tv show that tested loads of “medium” high street burgers and coincidentally it was one of the ones which test positive for bacteria. Never again!

    5. The one near me closed years ago. I remember the burgers being ridiculously greasy.

Used to quite enjoy their burgers but this is around ten years ago and to be honest it’s a totally saturated market where they weren’t really doing anything particularly different or outstanding to their competition.

Every time we went they got the take away order wrong, missing burgers etc then no response to calls or emails. Will never use again

My sister in law worked there about 15 years ago and they made the staff put their phones in the staff room on shift. Someone stole hers from her bag and management refused to bother investigating even though the thief could have only been another staff member.

Underrated I’ve always thought. They do the best milkshakes.
