Gardaí say Islamist radicalisation among young people in Ireland is rising, with around 10 recent early interventions to prevent extremist violence. A few serious cases have already occurred, mostly involving online radicalisation. Dissident republican activity is low, but concerns about Russian influence remain. The SDU is gearing up for a heavy security role during Ireland’s upcoming EU presidency.
The internet connects everyone and helps spread information both for better and for worse. We’re more aware of the horrific oppression happening in other parts of the world than previous generations, but we’re also more exposed to scammers, criminals and terrorists too. It’s not really surprising that people are more likely to be radicalised now.

Its quite ominous on the continent when you notice the barely hidden infrastructure of crash barriers, automatic rising bollards, strategically placed movable trees (in big pots) etc… we all know WHY they’re there.
Not to mention heavily armed police being posted to train stations, shopping centers etc….
Why does a random Berlin shopping center need cops in body armour, tactical gear, face coverings and assault rifles?

Islamic terrorism is the biggest threat facing Europe by far. These extremists hate everything about western society and culture. For some countries like the uk, France, Germany, Sweden etc it’s too late and they have too many sleeper cells/ homegrown terrorists already in isolated communities.

I don’t pay for that dirty rag so I can’t read the story. But how many arrests? Attacks thwarted?
Why try and scare people into suspicion of another minority group? There have been so many Muslim kids in my children’s classes over the year and they’ve been lovely families. For both my kids communions the Muslim families attended on the day and the kids even went into the group picture in their own clothes.
Ireland’s Muslim community doesn’t need dipshits suspecting them of terrorism with literally nothing to back it up.
