Unfortunate that totalitarianism is starting to grow once again, this time in the eu.

That very much reminds me of the exit corridor in the Sci-fi series Silo. Wonder if it’s a coincidence or if it inspired the set designers. They were definitely taking a few leads from brutalist housing tower blocks etc too.

Takav bi spomenik trebao biti podignut i u Hrvatskoj.

  5. Nazi were punished after the WWII, and Germans were reeducated and became peaceful democration nation.

Communists were not punished, and Russians hijacked a role of the good guys.

    Unpunished evil always returns.

Horrible experiment against humanity and human nature. Hope this never returns.

Powerful place. If you visit Tallinn, the Occupations and Freedom Museum (Vabamu) nearby gives essential context. Also worth seeing: the Deported monument at Balti jaam. How did it feel being there?

I love these sort of posts, because you can gurante that there will be a major comment war. For some reason every topic involving Soviets and/or communists gets very heated.

Some will get defensive but let’s look at the systems. Communism sets up the country for authoritarian take over too easily. Capitalism allows competition and term limits. Capitalism is not perfect,  but we’re simply choosing the least evil system.
