Un piano di pace in 28 punti sostenuto dagli Stati Uniti, trapelato il mese scorso, ha causato scalpore in Ucraina e tra i suoi alleati, tra le altre ragioni, perché conteneva un punto controverso che implicava, in termini vaghi, un "amnistia totale" per atti commessi durante la guerra.
Sebbene i funzionari ucraini abbiano successivamente affermato che questa clausola era stata rimossa, i critici temono che possa ancora ritornare nel testo, portando con sé una cultura di impunità per i crimini di guerra.
Mentre i colloqui volti a garantire un accordo di pace continuano con un incontro ad alto livello tra Ucraina e Stati Uniti tenutosi in Florida il 30 novembre, la versione finale del documento rimane incerta, alimentando le preoccupazioni che i leader russi possano andarsene senza essere ritenuti responsabili dei loro crimini.

As an American I beg you, please don’t trust them. He’s a Russian asset and has been for years, he cares nothing about democracy or Ukraine.
They’re a shameful bunch that at some point will pay for all the atrocities they’re committing. I have to believe that.
Russia and the US aren’t signatories to the Geneva convention right? So the US pardoning Russia for war crimes is just some cunt telling another cunt he’s not a cunt?
Amnesty for war crimes is the same thing as approving of those war crimes.
If the people responsible and the country responsible are not appropriately punished then more and worse will happen in the future.
Nobody outside Ukraine wants wto win the war. For real with storm of Kremlin and Huylo suicide in his bunker. All other ways – just a compromise.
Russia needs its teeth kicked in.
Any peace deal without SERIOUS guarantees will just see a new invasion in a few years.
