Using wayback machine you can go back as much as to 2012
Goal is to reach 8177km of expressways/motorways. Right now around 5220km. It is predicted that we will be near max around 2030 and since that time we will be working a lot on upgrading railway system to create first connections where people can go at speeds around 350km/h (current standard is 140km/h between large cities)

misreading: highway and express drugs or 2×3 lines 😀

For unknown reason our highways are clasifield as “autostrady” (A) and “drogi ekspresowe” (S). Theoretically S can have intersections and only one lane each direction. But in practice every S is built in A standard and even old S roads are being renewed to A standards. So often ranks underestime our highways lenght by showing only A roads. For example S3 had intersection between Szczecin and Goleniów which was removed a few years ago and original section near Zielona Góra had only one lane with loops. This map is correct.

You can’t compare the two countries. Poland is much more advanced 👍🏻

The funniest (or grimest) thing you can see on this map is east of Warsaw. Whole new outer ring of expressways is already in planning stage, and the eastern part of the inner one is still not build, stuck in judiciary/administrative purgatory.

now delete the motorways that were not funded by the EU. Oh wait. There was not a single motorway in the entire country of Poland prior to the EU entry.
Poland is by far the biggest beneficiary of the EU. They did not pay any cent NET into the EU pool. But still Poland is a stronghold of Anti EU sentiment.
I’m glad that Poland uses the money properly, but the Poles should be grateful. I know young people are, but the older generation isn’t at all grateful.
Butthurt Polands incoming….
First 200kms is nothing for a country of 38 million.
Second, I am every fucking year in Poland and you know exactly what I mean. There are so many anti EU people. Even your president and the last ones are openly anti EU.
