I hate being from the same county as this bellend.

As a Jew, whenever I go north, it always makes me thankful to be raised in a predominantly Catholic country. I never faced any bigotry growing up, and my Palestinian and Indian neighbours have felt welcomed here, and provide so much to our community.

Fuck everyone that perpetuates their meme status.

At the heart of this story was a young person who had the courage to express their true identity. Instead of acceptance they were met with nothing but bigotry and hate from an adult who was in a position of authority and held a duty of care .

The only thing achieved by posting Enoch Burke jokes and memes is reinforcing to that young person and every other young person like them, is that we, as a society, see their sense of self worth and personal identity as nothing but a fucking joke.

At the same time, out the other side of our mouths, we want to talk about mental health awareness and inclusivity whilst patting ourselves on the back.

Our media outlets are as much to blame for this as anyone, the only place that cunt should be reported on is in court records.

We’re trivialising the struggles of vulnerable young people through the immortalisation of a bigot that hates them.

I’m sick of seeing these idiots everywhere, playing right into their hands.

Mountjoy prison is too good for Enoch. He should be in Arbour Hill. You could make a case that him showing up outside a school despite being ordered by courts not to, warrants him going there. See how he likes it in there.

I wonder what it’s like to be a member of the Burke family. Do they have friends? Do they get invited to parties or weddings? Have any of them a partner/girlfriend/boyfriend? Do the socialise with colleagues after work? Do they take holidays in the sun? Let their hair down (metaphorically).

Could some of this not be solved by doing whatever is necessary to finally have the dismissal hearing/appeal?

Part of his justification is that he is still technically employed by the school (I mean he is getting paid ffs!!).

If he is finally fired once and for all and the termination of employment procedure completed does that not remove at least one of his reasons for being outside the school?

Well then, I guess someone’s not getting out of the joy for a while!
