I’d say they didn’t just try. They succeeded. Her premiership will be a pub trivia question and she was the first former PM to loose her seat in almost 100 years.
Your actions caused the black hole in our finances and Cameron’s, may, Johnson and farage caused us to lose £90bln a year in tax receipts because of Brexit. So, in the words of the old sage Confucius, fuck off loser

Consequences that she herself did not anticipate or plan for.

The dangerous thing about Truss rather than other grifters is that she fully believes in the nonsense she says.
Is her ‘new programme’ a course of antipsychotics at one of those nice private mental health units that don’t smell quite so strongly of piss and vapes?

The most interesting way to view Liz Truss is from the perspective of Liz Truss.
It must kind of suck 😂. Imagine waking up, every day, and the first thing you remember is being Liz Truss. In terms of a straight swap, even Andy MBW might have to think it over.
At the very least it must be hard for her to just fade into oblivion and let the history books record her the way she is today. Not like she has all that much to lose.
She probably also has half a point here, I mean I don’t think she sat down at her dinner table with an A4 sheet and wrote, “mY budGit”. Whole lot of people involved who, at the very least, do not have their photos in the dictionary next to, “bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. hahahaha hah”.

Doing what the American failures have been doing, blames the “deep state” for her own fuck ups, because it couldn’t possibly be anything she did.

It must be odd for her to acknowledge the reality that she totally screwed up as Prime Minister and will now go down as a footnote in history as our worst ever PM who ruined herself within 6 weeks… so I kinda see why she chooses to just lie to herself about how there’s some “deep state” responsible for it because the truth is too hard to face.

Her utter stupidity effectively bankrupted a few friends of mine. Remember that the Mail PRAISED her budget.
The deep state didn’t destroy her. The bond market (the government debt market) did.
They listened to her plans, decided they would want a very high rate to fund that plan because they didn’t think it would work out, and set a high rate to lend the government money.
That destroyed her because it was clear government couldn’t afford the money to deliver her plan.
It’s so weird seeing former prime ministers and other high gov people complain about the state of the economy that they contributed to.
