    – It’s tasty water.
    – It’s about a thousand time more expensive.

damn I go one month sober and the economy starts to crumble.

Sit tight I start vacation tomorrow

Millenials/Gen Z: “Oh no, we don’t drink any more. It’s bad for you and too expensive. Only old boomers need to get drunk to enjoy themselves.”

Also Millenials/Gen Z: “Why is it so hard to meet people? Online dating sucks! I go to the gym every day and still haven’t made any new friends.”

Life is getting more expensive, people are getting more choosy with what habits they keep going, companies are increasingly stingy at paying high salaries. All of it associated with Climate change affecting the production of everything agricultural also increasing product prices at every step of the chain. No-brainer that beer sales slump in these conditions.

I tried beer, not that interesting a drink, i got better things to spend my dwindling money on.

  10. Thanks to Eure Porter website for keeping an eye on the beer situation.

  11. It baffles me that it’s cheaper to buy beer produced in Sweden, have it transported to Germany, drive there from Sweden to buy it in bulk, and then drive back, than it is to buy the same amount of beer locally.

I can’t get an exstacy pill for the price of one or two beers and that will keep me going for the whole night. I save money, don’t get a hangover, it’s zero calories and most of all, the high is much better than being drunk. The only downside is that you can’t do it every weekend and it’s a socially shunned practice.

  13. Probably more of a good thing that a bad thing if this doesn’t mean that what they decide to drink instead is even worse

  14. Habits are changing and the rise of non alcoholic beer is good imo

Have they tried raising the prices even more? I’m sure that would help

Not that I want to tell adults how they should live their life but even one (alcoholic) beer a day has been shown to cause cancer, so seems like a win for public health.

Alcohol industry has somehow avoided public scrutiny while tobacco industry has been widely demonized. Even though they used the same tactics and even hired some of the exact same lobbyists that big tobacco had used in the past.

Have you seen the price of everything recently?

Beer is an easy thing to leave on the shelf. Unlike say bread.
