And it won’t change unless they actually start coming out to vote and prove they’re a demographic worth targeting.

If only you’d done something about it in that budget last week.

Recognition is good. It would great if he could suggest some solutions. ..

It would be slightly better if you’d let us at least fap without needing to show ID (or a vpn)

And it has been for at least the last 17 years. This isn’t news to those of us that have been adults through recession after crisis, after pandemic, etc.

And sadly when the young people become old, the state pension won’t exist 🙁

Prices are high, costs are high, wages are low and the answer to everything these days seems to be either AI or fascism. Things will get better, they will change but it seems like it will be an uphill battle

Speaking in my 30’s its no longer just young people affected by this.

It’s almost like successive government has actively made it harder for future generations rather than easier.

Sold off most all of the social housing, put up red tape to slow down additional social housing being built, the lack of affordable housing means house prices skyrocketed along with Rents. Privatised water companies which saw mass closures of reservoirs, the priviastion of BT which saw us lacking behind both Europe and the Americans in internet speeds for the late 2000s and most of the 2010s. Privitised the rail networks which means it’s cheaper to fly around the country than it is to get the train to go see friends or go to events. Privitised Gas and Electricity firms which has lead to the highest bills in the West because OfGem allows the private companies to charge us the price point for Coal Gas and Oil when that only makes up 20% of most companies mixes.

NHS flooded with people who don’t need to be there and can self medicate means A&E wait times are horrific and can’t get a GP appointment (See the NHS report in which over 100,000 people went to A&E for sore throats and nearly 350 people went because of Hiccups) and some of the worst job prospects in the western world because if you don’t live in a city your oppourtunities are watered down to Retail, Warehousing or Call Center (Assuming the clients for the call centers don’t shift your role over to Poland, India or South Africa)

So yes, life is shit for young people i don’t actively blame any young person for not having the “Pride” to fight for their country should WW3 errupt.

Ok, so scrap winter fuel payments and provide young people student loan relief with the savings!

I mean we’re starting to cross the point where young peoples lives essentially on permanent hold. They can never save up enough to settle down, and jobs aren’t secure enough to settle down any way.

No surprise that birthrates are going through the floor
