Those pupils are now carriers for their families some of whom will then go to work and spread it there or at the shops, in the pub etc.

Get vaccinated and stay home if you can when you know you’re carrying the flu.

Me, my 3 teens and mother all have had a version of flu since last week of October; even now, whilst I feel the most well I’ve felt in weeks, I still have the occasional coughing fit, and feel tightness in my chest.

Some of us had stomach issues aswell as headaches, sore throat, coughing. Only my son had typical snotty nose/runny nose cold symptoms. My 14 year old missed 8 days of school

I just been hit with it all this week and it’s knocked me on my arse hard.

Kept coughing until I threw up multiple times with extreme fatigue alongside my nose being a tap and my throat feeling like I swallowed razor blades . It’s a nasty nasty flu this year I swear.

I still feel like absolute shit now since catching it on Monday, I walk a few steps and I am struggling to stand up and need to catch my breath for 10 minutes.

Winter fucking sucks for this shit man. COVID felt way less severe in comparison in my personal experience.

I had the flu jab for the first time this year and it knocked me out for two days.

I mean, it probably IS Covid. We just don’t bother testing for it these days for some reason.

Completely wiped us out all last month – i got it on Halloween and was bed ridden. Even now still bunged up.

My worry is if this is worse than just a very bad case – check out some of the news reports from China again. They have provinces where the hospitals are at a point of collapse. That’s going back to 2019….

I’ve had it for the past 4 days, still recovering. No cough or runny nose but extreme headache and sore throat, aches and fever of course.

Why does everyone feel the need to share their flu symptoms like they’re writing a 17th century diary

  9. I had covid last month and I was stuck in bed for a week. Really hope I don’t get the flu now!

I went for my jab this week. The waiting area had four or five rows of seats in a U shape, all full, and a tight queue of seven or eight people were waiting at the reception desk. We appear to have learnt nothing from covid. Maybe I’m overestimating the risk, but as someone recovering from a heart attack and wanting to keep clear of anything that my hinder my recovery, I think I’m allowed.

I baulked and went back a couple of days later as they were also doing walk-ins at certain times. This time, an empty waiting room and my bum had barely touched the seat before I was called.

My left arm aches a bit now, but rather that than the flu. Getting your jab is important but surely we know how to keep things safer in the waiting areas.

The vaccination uptake this year for kids aged 2-3 is only 40%. It’ll be even less in school aged children.

Combine that with a vaccination that only partially deals with the current strain due to the flu virus unexpectedly mutating in June, 4 months after the vaccine mix decision was made. Australia just had its worst flu season ever, so of course we were going to be affected.

I had my flu shot 2 weeks ago, not a side effect in sight. Slightly sore arm as with all jabs.

    Conspiracy nutcases inbound sir.

Now they’re saying the flu is 1) a hoax and doesn’t exist 2) an excuse for bill gates or zuckerberg or <insert tech CEO here> to insert 16GB of RAM to go with the cpu from the previous vaccines.

Next year, they’ll be anally inserting a GTX6090 so they can reboot you and play games on your eyeballs.

Me and the kids had our vaccines. I havnt been ill at all despite kissing and cuddling them all the time

They have been quite unwell for 1 day, mildly ill for a week, ill again for a day and then mildly ill for another week. My daughters cough is horrid and she’s not really eating much still but thankfully on its way out. When they were bad it was high temp, chills, vomiting, eye pain, fatigue.

Cant imagine how bad it would have been without the vaccine.

Remember, the vaccine doesn’t always stop you getting it but if you do it will be less severe.

Quoting from article “Flu uptake among children disappointing”

What the actual fuck, come on kids, 170 is rookie numbers.
