Good. This is important In a world where you can’t trust your allies Not to just turn your cloud storage off.
Im not quite sure how we let it come to a situation where basically all our life operates through foreign systems, so this is a good start.
I’m not sure BT are who I’d choose given a choice though.
Enterprise only. Only means to sign up is through a contact form. No documentation for technical staff. They don’t even mention which cloud services they provide (compute, object storage?). Plenty of UK cloud providers already that no one uses because Amazon have great salespeople.

This is very good news, it is a huge opportunity for BT after years of decline, so good to see them step up in a national leadership role.
The NHS has a lot of questions around the management of data and this offers a potential solution. Let’s just hope they can scale up rapidly, because demand will be very real, especially if the government starts to put its weight behind this.
