Kind of a stupid question/ result considering there was no option for the exact opposite, i.e. not thinking countries withdrawing is justified.

The disconnect between politicians and citizens is extreme. But it’s necessary to know how many people took the poll and on which platform.

Eurovision is turning into a f-ing g@y-fest anyway. It is embarrassing,

    1. who carried out this survey?

    2. how many people have voted?

    3. who was asked? how representative is this?

    4. all options reflect different shades of the same opinion: “this is an important and necessary decision”, “its sad, that the event is suffering because of this”, “I understand the reason, but it wont help”, “each country should decide for itself”

    5. there is no possibility to vote for an opposite opinion such as “boycotting ESC is a nonsense decision” or “the boycotting countries are hurting their own reputation” or “ESC should be stay away from politics”

    But nice try…

Remember, it’s ‘Eurovision’, so everyone with potential to join the EU can come and join even though they may not belong to the EU, unless they come belly dancing in Burqa or with a group of Taliban boy bands.

I get why people feel that way tbh, Eurovision’s been weirdly stressful lately instead of fun. Maybe countries should rotate “rest years” more often anyway? Was this just Swiss respondents?

All of the responses are basically the same or similar.  Should just be an agree or disagree with the decision to get a true representation of what people think.  When you explicitly don’t offer an option for the other side, then of course you get sampling like this

  8. Based on my experience, only Czechs and Georgians support their countries remaining at Eurovision

    Weird

Is it Germans supporting genocide again it what?

  10. Translation for the non-German speakers:

What do you think of the countries who are boycotting Eurovision because of Israel’s participation?

    – It is an important and necessary approach.

    – It is a shame that the event (Eurovision) will suffer because of this.

    – I understand the reasons, but it will do nothing.

    – Everyone should decide for themselves if they will take part or not.

    – I only want to see the results.

I would say that people who are against the countries who’ve withdrawn would choose any of the options besides option 1.

So this doesn’t really tell us too much – just that a slight majority polled support those who withdrew, and the other options are kinda wishy-washy and not at all concrete.

    >54% sympathetic for countries withdrawing from Eurovision 2026.

… in some ~~unsorurcesed german language ?~~ apparently swiss online poll.
