Affected heißt wohl eher bringen das mit und es wird dann hier erkannt und behandelt.
probably because of the Ukrainian refugees, they have a lot of latent and resistant tuberculosis
it’s not really a problem because we have exceptionally good healthcare here and the isolation measures are held in place strictly
Indian immigrant here! Not sure why BCG(the vaccine) isn’t used here. In India it was readily available and most of the people(who can afford it (sadly)) are vaccinated.
Tbc is a monitored infection and spread within Switzerland is extremely unlikely to impossible. Most people who have it got it from somewhere else or are very old.
Any individual with ‚open‘ tuberculosis is under quarantine. Any contact that person had will be sought and treated to prevent any infection from happening or spreading.
