US and China together? I think you need a third team with only China.

  2. The US isn’t on the side of russia & china, It’s more like jar jar binks causing havoc

  3. Please stop. Dividing is never the answer and this smells a whole lot like a world war if you look at it this way.
Just stop diving society, it never helps, we are all humans, very simmillar to each other, while diverse, but have the same day to day struggles.
War is a concept of rich and influential power hungry individuals (yes I’m talking about putin).

There is also India on the side of evil, they probably forgot.

    China plays its own game.

They want Russia to be weak and dependent so they can suck those juicy resources in Siberia.

Also, many ppl may forget. Russia absolutely hates USA.. they, putin, are playing them for fools and uses Trump to destroy them form within. Because putin knows, going for straight up war with them would be a bad idea.. because trigger happy usa has lots of weapons.

And the Russians are doing a stellar job at fucking with usa. Europe will have to stand on its own. This will worsen the relationship over the comming years. European companies will try and migrate services and other stuff from usa to other places.

The only way to win this particular conflict is with heavily armed citizenry like in Vietnam, but there are plenty of users here at r/europe who hasn’t learned anything from history and as such do not want heavily armed citizenry. So congratulations, we’re fucked.

UK and EU (and so is NATO) stands aside being “deeply concerned” and wishing Vader will be in one piece after the battle so they could continue trading and being friends with him just like in good old times

Team on the left dominates trade, services, manufacturing, technology, logistics, finance, natural resources, agriculture, media, nuclear weapons, and more. Team on the right is reliant on at least one of the flags on the left for many many many critical systems, infrastructures, resources, technology, defense, and finance for which there is no alternative.

    Add Iran and North Korea.
At least NK sending troops, and Iran provided Shaheds, the weapon of terror.

Hungary is on the right somewhat, and in the EU in some meaningful ways

Hedging our bets so that we definitely don’t win

USA, China and Russia are individually just their own thing. It’s Europe more or less which sees everything as a bloc right now. If push comes to shove and something drastic happens, I don’t think most of the world will support Russia or China, those two don’t exactly inspire confidence among the masses.

  22. itsalonghotsummer on

This is a neccessarily 2D summary, but China is backing Russia because it wants its resources, and Putin’s lunacy in invading Ukraine means it now gets said resources cut price as Russia needs the money.

But China needs Western consumers to buy its products in order to keep growing its economy, and help the CCP maintain control of the Chinese population.

Europe is 21% of its export market and it can’t afford to lose that, so China is not directly opposed to us in the sense Russia is, at the moment at least.

And the US is a self-centred, bi-polar, spoiled child-turned bully, led by a man as psychologically flawed as Putin. Its current regime is against us, which truly boggles the mind, but its nominally a democracy, so let’s not give up hope that it might come to its senses again – although we’re clearly never going to have the same relationship with the US post-Trump as before.

And that might not be a bad thing in a new multi-polar world if Europe acts rationally to that realisation.
