Likely yeah, if there’s a place to kill him it’s here with low funded security, Russia have killed abroad before. And people giving out he got a garda escort through traffic.

I look forward to the analysis by Redditors who genuinely think their social media consumption makes them defence experts.

I wonder where the drones were launched from? I think early reporting speculated a nearby ship but I haven’t read any follow-up.

But we’re neutral so Russia would never dare to plan an attack within our territory /s

There is absolutely no evidence it was Russia.

It might have been Russia. Or it  could have been a nato or eu member trying pressure Ireland into increasing military spending, or for propaganda.

Remember when the nordstream pipeline was attacked. The Eu and USA were very quick to blame Russia. It later turned out to be perpetrated by Ukrainians.

I’m not saying it defiantly wasn’t Russia, but there is a god awful amount of propaganda being spread.

Just shows we are potentially very under prepared for the possibility of a coordinated drone incursion.  Imagine a large swarm of drones launched off a submarine with sufficient range to cause a long term shutdown of both Dublin and Shannon airports, would cause absolute carnage. What could the Garda do other than throw their extendible batons up at them?

Oh FFS if Russia wanted to kill him they would, I’m just sceptical that this is a ploy to get us to militarise ourselves to appease NATO or the EU and for Simon Harris to be delighted with himself so he can tell us all off for not having a whole county dedicated to storing weapons

Have they shared any footage, coordinates, or flight paths of these drones with the public? Anything at all? How did they see the drones, in person or on radars or satellites? There must be some sort of digital record of them in our airspace, or if not digital, physical evidence. Or are there valid reasons as to why the public wouldn’t be privy to such details?

The tankies that post on these subs won’t care about this at all

    Ireland to EU Council.

“these are not the drones you’re looking for”.

An attack? What attack? I did not read the article so what was attacked by Russia?

If he’s confident saying this, where is the proof? The National Security council, Garda are still reviewing this so where’s he getting this info from?

I was monitoring the flight paths that day and did see significant military activity from across the channel in the area

RTE have announced it’s Xmas movie line up, just one movie ‘Red Dawn’ playing 24 hours on a loop

Pity there were no witnesses or photos of those famous drones. You will notice there never is, must be crazy power of invisibility.

We’re neutral – nobody would want to invade us.

Did they find the guy who firebombed that 4 year old yet?

Some of the comments on here make me embarrassed to be Irish. Lot of pro-Russian nonsense
