To give a more objective context,
      **First**

      >Why does no one want turkey anywhere near Europe

This claim is false as there is an EU and UK-wide push to include Turkey as a defence partner. Spain, the UK, İtaly, Germany, Sweden, etc. are making military deals and cooperation statements with Turkey left and right.

      **Second**
Turkey, in recent years, has not escalated to these levels, the militarisation and arming of Aegean islands, when the installations and equipment were from the US and UK.

But they are losing their minds over deals with Israel. As Israel is not acting rationally, it is hard to predict and maximalist nowadays.

      **Lesser-known fact**:
The US has and still has an arms doctrine for Turkey and Greece, under which it implements quotas on how many arms are sold to Greece and Turkey. Turkey gets 10 portions, Greece gets 7.

It is often called the **”7:10 ratio”** (or 10:7) and was a means by which the U.S. Congress attempted to maintain a military balance in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Nowadays, Turkey no longer depends on the US defence industry as it did before, but it still needs to import equipment that it cannot produce locally at the moment. And Greece is buying arms from Israel (for the first time), starting to counter this quota issue:)

So now you have more angles to understand what is going on.
