France inviting China to G7 is like the US inviting Russia to a NATO meeting.

If a power is qualified to participate in the game of diplomacy and geopolitics, it will always find its own way to participate, whether you like it or not.

Is China qualified? Sure it is.

What unity? If you mean unity around usa, then it s already dead. Let’s build something different. China is a superpower, we should integrate it into the group to balance usa fucked behavior.

China is challenging the status quo and the establishment are afraid. Japan thinks they are a peer w/ Western powers, but they are merely an after thought, sidelined even among the G7 and historically—treated only as an equal on paper—but not socially.

The truth is that we still live in a Western centric world. China wants to revert back to a multipolar world which has existed before European domination since the 1800s. However Western powers, much less Western people would ever view an Asian country or Asian people—or any other people leading the world. It’s subtle nowadays, but it’s explicit if people ever learn about the “Yellow Peril”.

Japan, an ethno-state ruled by a fascist PM, is worried about “unity” lol

ridiculous to invite China who we are in a grey war with, who are causing massive problems over where Japan are.

Could you imagine Japan inviting Russia in for a seat at the table.
