The man is a pie, but nonetheless I do think there’s something to this. The level of emigration of people in their 20s and 30s is troubling and could be damaging for the country in the long term.

  2. NutsInMay96 on

I knew they were planning to drain our brain fluids all along

  3. hiraeth555 on

Hmm, wonder if that has anything to do with his and his party’s policies?

  4. Economy_Seat_7250 on

He’s partly responsible for making the country such an awful place to live tho

  5. Wendisky on

Then he shouldve done more when he was prime minister to ensure that there wasnt a brain drain

  6. BrockChocolate on

If the “elite” treat ordinary people like peasants eventually you’ll only have peasants left.

  7. Macca80s on

Maybe he should have thought of that before overseeing austerity

  8. Gone_4_Tea on

Heaven forbid we end up left with people like him to do our thinking for us. He should have thought of this a decade ago, you remember when we were a sought after destination for brainy people.

Call me Dave aka Cowardly fuckwit.

Man that masterminded austerity and whose actions led to Brexit warns us that a lot of young people are leaving the country , and doesn’t seem to know why.
    Is he stupid?

I would if I could, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze here and hasn’t been for a while.

  11. snufflesthebigdog on

Coming from the man who set up the whole platform. Brexit, quality of life, public services, and divided society were all set up by his governments underestimation of the referendum and vampiric austerity… This should be r/LeopardsAteMyFace …

  12. MrSierra125 on

The same David Hameron who started said brain drain by tripling the cost of universities? No!

  13. cerebralpotodds on

We should create the conditions here that make the intelligent people want to stick around.

Man who did a bad thing explains the repercussions of his bad thing…

  15. Groffulon on

Man who did more to cause the brain drain than pretty much anyone else in the country complains about the effects of his actions. Not denying it’s happening. Just saying that it’s fucking rich coming from him the architect of Brexit – “My actions and my awful party isolated Britain from the world… Why are people leaving for the rest of the world…?”

  17. Special-Ad4226 on

Austerity tends to do this. But he’s right, it’s worrying the amount of students around me who just want to flee as soon as they get a degree

  18. Mysterious_Evening9 on

perhaps your austerity might have had something to do with that lol

  19. Agitated_Mood_7528 on

This ham is the 2nd worst prime minister in history apart from mental Liz Truss. Don’t know why he’s in a position to lecture anyone

  20. CaptMelonfish on

Gee, if only there had been something you could have done WHILST YOU WERE THE FUCKING PRIME MINISTER DAVID!?

oh right yeah, you sold us down the river.

  21. Comfortable_Basil816 on

Man passed legislation called “EVEL” & put his dick in the mouth of a dead pig.

That’s before mentioning he was committed to austerity during a time of historical low interest rates…

  22. squeakybeak on

David ‘Brexit’ Cameron is concerned about something?

  23. earthwormpete on

I don’t see a problem. If people want to leave this country for better lives then let them. I’m sorry but who is going to be motivated in this county (ever increasing cost of living, lacking services etc).

  24. Incendas1 on

If it wasn’t money, it’d be all the other crap going on for me. Why would I come back to transphobic island under any circumstances, as a trans person?

A lot of countries are suffering economically, but the UK is becoming an especially hostile place to live.

  25. Impressive-Bird-6085 on

Cameron started the Brain Drain with his ridiculously self-serving highly destructive EU Referendum. It was called in a vain attempt to lance the boil of Brexit extremism within the Conservative Party…. Cameron arrogantly assumed he’d win the Referendum, even though his Conservative government’s unprecedented red austerity cuts put rocket boosters under the serious voter discontent fuelling Vote Leave and the campaign *for* Brexit….

My colleague, with a PhD, increased her salary by around +130% by moving to the US to do the same role.

  27. SecondLovatt on

I’m leaving early next year, transferring to an overseas branch for more money which is further added to by lower taxes. I do like the country but losing half of my pay each month, London rent and nothing really to show for it except a tiny rented studio, I’m just burnt out. You get shafted here if you’re on over 50k and even worse when your single.

  28. barcodez on

With a brain drain, average IQ in the country drop. Is this just him returning from holiday perhaps?

  29. JaguarWitty9693 on

Insert *we all want to find the guy responsible for this* meme.

You’ve wrecked the place, mate. My wife has ILR but what’s to say your lot won’t turn round in a few years and decide she is the problem rather than your Thatcherite experiment gone wrong?

I’m off, and I’m taking my tax and my nice little law abiding family of future tax payers with me. Tata!

  30. “We’re all trying to find out whose fault this is”

Gee, I wonder if cutting off from our best economic partner and forcing out all the skilled EU labour had anything to do with that, Mr. Brexit Referendum

  31. LordFiresnake on

Well well well, if it isn’t the consequences of my actions.

  32. Obi-Scone on

“Man Raise Alarm Over Fire He Started.” David Cameron is not a person to be taken seriously. Total pillock.

  33. Melodic-Armadillo-42 on

He probably senses it will effect his chums rent revenue and investments that milk the young, rather then out of any concern for the wider economy.

  34. doobiedave on

He could leave the country. That might push the national average IQ back up a bit.

  35. MongooseJesus on

He’s the fucking one to cause it.

Why the fuck should I, a university graduate, earning bloody good money, stay in the UK? He broke the social contract with his fucking stupid “house budget” analogy, causing mass amounts of people to agree that we should “tighten the belt” when I had just finished uni, and in turn caused the stupidity that was Brexit when I was in my late 20’s.

So of course as someone who was young, educated, and on an ok wage I was going search for a better life elsewhere.

Pretty bloody ironic for the man who caused the brain drain to now be the one sounding an alarm over it.

  36. BLightyear67 on

Thats what happens when you prioritise overseas talent rather than our own. Its not rocket science.
