Ciao a tutti! Recentemente mi sono trasferito in un nuovo appartamento a Helsinki. Dopo aver installato la lavatrice, ho notato che non entra acqua, anche quando la valvola accanto alla lavatrice è aperta.
Per verificare se il problema fosse la lavatrice o il tubo, ho collegato lo stesso tubo sotto il lavandino e ha funzionato normalmente. Quindi il problema riguarda sicuramente il punto di approvvigionamento idrico vicino alla lavatrice.
Qualcuno ha sperimentato qualcosa di simile? Cosa potrebbe esserci di sbagliato nella valvola e hai qualche consiglio su cosa controllare o chi contattare?

Contact your Apartment’s Maintenance contact (either a service or the talonmies “building caretaker” ) or your landlord (if renting), These information should be listed on your apartment building’s bulletin board.
Do you get any water (on the floor) if you remove the machine and just open the valve? One reason might be that the safety valve (I don’t know the English word) but it is sulku in Finnish is closed. It is usually behind a hatch in the wall or ceiling. Safest thing to do is just contact the janitor (”huoltoyhtiö”).
Sometimes theres a manual for the resident, where there are all the manuals for appliances which are included in apartment. Theres usually a service company named and their contact info.
If you have no instructions, you can usually find service company info from the notification board near your frontal exit to the building. Contact your also apartment owner for the matter.
Turn that handle on the right to turn on water supply.

There is a shutdown valve, that has been turned off, when the last washing machine was disconnected. Don’t play with it yourself, ask housing manager to make a ticket to fix it.
Yeah probably the valve is closed. I really don’t know why people recommend you to call maintenance to open it, if you know what to look for you can do it yourself and nothing bad can happen from it. It’s literally just a small knob to turn.
The check valve(takaiskuventtiili) might be stuck. It’s the thing between the water valve and your washing machine water hose. Your landlord will need to get a plumber to check/fix the issue. You shouldn’t connect your washing machine to the fresh water without a check valve. If the building loses water pressure it might suck the gunk from your washing machine and then the whole building will need a fresh water flush and desinfection. And that’s going to cost thousands.
