      Prime Minister Viktor Orban is exploring how to keep his grip on Hungary regardless of the outcome of an election due in April.

      With some polls showing a double-digit lead for the opposition, Orban is toying with the idea of assuming the presidency and rewriting laws to make it into the most powerful office in the country, according to a person familiar with the situation who asked not to be identified.

      Orban, 62, raised the prospect of a presidential system after a meeting at the White House last month with his ally President Donald Trump, saying the plan was “always on the table.” Hungary’s parliament on Wednesday approved a bill from Orban’s Fidesz party making it harder for lawmakers to remove a president from the post in future.

      This guy is a danger to nato just like trump, we should convene a meeting to tell them they will be exiting the EU if he is kept in power
