Insieme siamo forti”.

Roman, you have a stronger spine than me, a kinder soul than me, and more courage than me. I tip my hat to you. Never let go of your positive attitude!

I know it’s tough, but Ukraine’s people need to tell their stories up close and personal like that.

When politicians debate various aid packages thousands of miles away, detached from the war it all becomes too abstract. They weigh the monetary value, the politics and forget about the people. But I would hope that when presented with the cold harsh reality in such a personal manner everyone but the coldest and cruelest people would have no choice but to work to secure all of the help Ukraine needs.

I feel ashamed of being older than him and letting him step into a world so violent. It’s rude towards the younger generations.

I hope that he has some forgiveness and happiness in the future.

…and this is the 45478334th reason I have had absolutely zero fuсkѕ to give for 99.999% of Russians out there with their deranged but foundational chauvinism, infantile learned helplessness, and pathological allergy to collective responsibility.

Within the microscopic share of the Russian ethnos that is actually worthy of the privilege of being regarded with civility and respect by default, I have to mention Garry Kasparov, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Mikhail Shishkin and Dmitry Titkov, plus the couple thousand dudes sprinkled in the Freedom of Russia Legion, Nomad Unit and Siberia Battalion.
