Arent you also posting in a language here that is not the official language?

Or is there maybe a slight racism that drives your opinion of this adds, because of the situation between Russia and Ukrain?I am not judging you by any means, just asking questions.

Are you okay with Russian products in the supermarkets, but this bothers you? It’s very likely because of your phone.

There’s no such thing as basic respect in advertising. Advertising is done to drive customers and thus it’s done in the language they speak. Meta ads work not just based on location but the user’s preferred language. If you’re getting those ads, either their targeting sucks or you consume content in Russian. Hope that helps.

Georgian physical and digital world is infested with russians and their products.

Nothing unusual, just the next step in the hybrid war against Georgia.

Instagram targeting lets you tweak parameters like age, gender, hobbies, behavior, and more, but I’m not entirely sure about the language settings there. Facebook definitely has language targeting, so you can run ads in a specific language within a specific geo—like Serbian in Brazil or whatever fits your target audience.

Most likely, these ads are showing up either because Instagram lacks those specific settings or because a lousy media buyer forgot to enable language targeting. On the other hand, many georgians understand russian and use expat services anyway. Honestly, it just looks like a baseless complaint to me.

Bullshit. How else would you advertise to foreigners?
