Irish food safety chiefs are now looking at whether to test groceries for the “forever chemical” TFA after recent research found high levels in some wheat-based breakfast cereals and bread bought here. It’s a persistent PFAS that builds up in the environment, and EU watchdogs are still setting safety limits but for now regulators say the levels found aren’t a risk to kids. Start Testing now
I know YouTube links are rightly frowned upon, but Veritasium is one of the few that is such a high quality it rises to the level of journalism – and their PFAS episode, is very eye opening:

Considering….?
This is like me saying I’m considering having 10 pints after I’ve had 8 already.
Why fucking not?
>The decision on whether to test Irish food will be partly based on laboratory capacity, Murnane O’Connor said
Shouldn’t that be the other way round?
Is this a such a tough decision that they need to consider it for a long time?
Fuck me, PFAs are everywhere, cookware, clothing, carpets, nail varnish. Literally unavoidable poison. The food chain is saturated with those.
Just avoid wheat products until the products are properly tested and regulated.
