Feels like every Square in Europe eventually Doubles as a Protest stage History repeating, Just louder and with Better signs.

For people who are wondering, it was raining that day.

I hope that the good and beautiful people of Hungary will vote for a change in april.

This was organized in 3 days after Péter Magyar (Tisza Party) has published a secret document that showed the following:

On Friday, Péter Magyar published a document prepared in 2021 on the conditions prevailing in child protection and the violence suffered by children placed there. The 47-page report states, among other things, that

* staff are overworked,
* **one in seven children under their guardianship is a victim of abuse,**
* **half of the guardians initiated police proceedings in 437 cases of sexual abuse involving children in their care, 224 guardians found that the cases were closed due to insufficient evidence,**
* **the child protection guardians surveyed know of more than 3,300 abused children – this means that one-fifth of children in specialized care are abused, most often emotionally, psychologically, and physically,**
* **235 guardians reported sexual abuse of children,**
* **and 11 percent of guardians know that “a child under their guardianship has been sexually abused at their place of care.” 324 children suffered this type of abuse while in specialized care.**

The document concludes by mentioning that there is enormous latency in the field of child abuse. The document only “summarizes the attitudes, knowledge, and experiences of child protection professionals responsible for 15,807 children entrusted to the care of the state.”

In the investigation at the Szőlő Street juvenile residential school, following Tuesday’s dramatic action, several people have now been arrested or are under investigation, including the acting director of the institution, Károly Kovács-Buna, who resigned on Monday. Earlier, the former director, Péter Pál Juhász, and his partner were already arrested; they are also suspected of human trafficking and forced labor. In addition, videos have emerged showing abuse that took place in the institution.

The government had previously lied about the case, claiming that “no minors were involved.”

Well, maybe Orban’s had enough pilfering and would be happy enough to retire on his megayacht in the Adriatic.

I can’t see this succeeding unless Orban flat-out orders the vote to not be rigged in his favor anymore.
