Quanto spenderai a Natale quest’anno?

Two weeks ago I felt I’m in good financial position, some money on my bank account and no credit card debt. Enter christmas, and that feeling is gone.
Too much.
0€
My wife and I bought gifts for my younger sister, younger brother and my sister-in-law, totalling about 200€. We also bought two gifts around 40€ each (for two teenage kids) for the Hope Christmas present campaign.
I’d say this is a typical amount for us. No kids (own or within immediate family) probably helps.
About 70 € for a christmas tree, and maybe a few euros on some new decorations.
Probably around 200 € on food and chocolates. Not making a dinner for anyone else this year, so just two people (and maybe something small to bring to the dinner at my sister-in-law).
As for the gifts, I don’t usually think too much about the cost (within reason). Might cost very little or might cost a bit more, depending on what I come up with. I try to make the gifts useful. Most of my relatives that get a gift will get a calendar with bird photos I have taken during the year. My nieces an nephews usually have some wishes that I try to accommodate. In total probably around 100 – 300 €.
Me and my spouse are reasonably well-off, so we don’t have to worry too much about the cost of christmas, but we don’t spend money just for the sake of spending it either.
There were some more expenssive gifts this year as we planned to get some kitchen appliances for “christmas”. so total is likely around 500e. (I saved for those since last christmas.) Normally I spend within 50-100e (including gifts for my partner, for myself, my sister and our friends).
On top of that we spent 35e on gifts for kids from poor families as a gift donation. And 20e for christmas tree. I dont buy new christmas decor, just a living tree once a year. Food will likely be 200e as I have to prep bigger family dinner.
I spend Christmas alone (of my own free will, usually I spend it with relatives) and the only money I spend is on food. Salmon, roe, ham, mulled wine, chocolate etc. for one person probably cost around 60-70 euros. More expensive than everyday food, but it will last several days.
The decorations are already there so there’s no money to spend on them. I’m not buying any gifts this year.
Under 10€, all i have..
