Unleaded 95 is under a euro in many parts of Spain currently.

In all likelihood – zero. Hope I’m wrong though.

It might fall by a couple of cent. But will still be over €2 a lt this time next year. The trend is always only one way.

      I wish.

It won’t, the government will just take more of it as tax

      Fantastic news.

Can’t wait for all the “because oil prices” increases over the last few years to start getting rolled back.

I’ll stick my neck out and predict the paying customer will see no benefit from this

Recent carbon taxes added to fuel costs have taken away any reductions we would of seen

Just like all other services in Ireland, you will be ripped off. Not a thing you can do about it either as they are increasing electricity prices also if you wan4 to go green.

The difference between the north and the south’s prices is roughly 20 pence a litre after exchange. Someone’s putting their hands in peoples pockets.

We need to keep the peasants poor and hungry other wise they will start getting ideas. Of course the will be drip feed to us like everything else. We will surely see the end of the Ukrainian war in the early part of 2026 thus unlocking all the price increases linked to it will also row back down the way or will they..? I’d highly doubt we would see anything return to the pre 2021 pricing. See the ESB are throwing €1 a month to improve the network…. Not only do they make €100’s of million a year in profits but feel the need to shaft joe public even more. We have no watchdog no ombudsman with any teeth to call these people out for what they are which is to clearly rob you as much as possible.

Most of the price you pay is tax and the cost to refine and ship it to the country. There will be very little change.

They’ll drop the price by 5 cent and the government will put on a 20c “fuck you” levy

Petrol shoukd be regulared same as electricity is. If it gets cheaper to make it should be cheaper to buy, but unfortunately is more like airlines, it’s all about demand.

If they can make more bucks out of it they will.

      *Oil prices increase*

      We must raise our prices!

      *Oil prices fall*

      We must raise our prices!

“USC is only temporary” vibes from this. We’ll see no difference whatsoever. Sure they’re making too much money to drop the price. How will the shareholders get their bonuses?
