Don’t get me wrong, fuck the RUC, but surely they needed protection because of the huge risks of being killed?

I mean it was 1992 before the Peace Process really kicked in and before the IRA Ceasefire. RUC are a reprehensible organization regardless of politics or where you fall in Northern Ireland but if any of us was a member of the RUC back then you’d want an entire Platoon with you for your patrol
