I imagine this post will be removed since it’s a negative post about the UK. It’s worth a go, though.

  2. If it benefits all, let’s be the bigger people, reap benefits now, and figure out how to punish them later.

If it only benefits the UK, fuck them.

To be honest, that article is awful, I don’t really understand its conclusion.

I think the accusations against Europeans are unfounded.

The majority of the English said a clear ‘no’ to the EU, and I remember that deeply upset the Scots, who voted for the country to remain in the EU.

Now London, which is elected mainly by the English, is saying it’s wrong that Europeans are engaging in protectionism at Britain’s expense.

    Strange logic.

    Paywall.

Edit: Ok, so the UK is not happy about a “Buy EU” program.

At some stage it’s just pathological… Kid leaves club, keeps on whinging about not being invited to club activities.

  5. tldr; Europe want to strategically and preferentially buy Europe stuff.
So according to the paper, for UK, who are the best, Europe are bad people.

    Remind me someone.

Starmer should know by now if it’s not written down, the EU will seek to charge for it, even if it’s in their own interests. The EU is not a friend to work alongside for mutual benefits but an awkward neighbour who would rather hurt itself than see the UK prosper. He needs leverage and should be looking at all the level playing field shit Germany and France demanded be added to the Brexit deal. Then he can use the EU’s desire to support it’s manufacturing and AI goals as leverage elsewhere.

Maybe hold a new vote to go back in the EU if you don’t like the current situation

  8. The Brits reputation precedes them as usual, calm and rational till the end

UK is in a though spot. Exactly what Russia envisioned. Completely isolated, the UK stands no chance to either the US or EU.

Its a take it or leave it scenario with severe consequences for the UK.

British supermarkets have been putting union jacks on food packaging for years to attract the flag shaggers.

Article is behind a paywall but I assume this is marketing rather than a trade barrier.

So Europe takes back control? How can the UK object to that?

We should just rejoin. It’s ridiculous we are beating around the bush on this. The British public knew sweet fuck all about the benefits of EU membership.

The last thing we need in Europe/UK now is further division.

Isn’t inews owned by the Daily Mail group? Seeing a lot of sensationalist titles being posted linked to the site.
