Anyone have some background on this?

A Canadian who literally lives on the other side of the world and I’d rather not jump to conclusions without some facts, thanks.

This is why public broadcasters matter. The moment politicians decide they should own the microphone, democracy becomes theater. What’s happening in Vilnius shows a population that understands power fears truth more than protest. The streets are saying clearly: information belongs to the people, not the coalition in power.

Kinda unrelated but doesn’t this affect Eurovision? I believe a big factor of why they say they removed Russia was because their broadcaster wasn’t independent
